Shanti Tea
A fully composable atomic design overhaul that streamlined workflows, reduced friction, and accelerated iterative development.
Some websites don’t fail because of bad design. They fail because the people building them couldn’t see it through.
Shanti Tea arrived at Modalys in exactly that position. The site was designed, the brand was ready, and the launch date was closing in, but their internal developers had hit a wall. Pages were crawling. Images were stuck and repeating. Animations that were supposed to give the site energy were frozen in place. The whole thing felt dead in the water, and nobody could turn it around.
They needed someone to come in and finish the job.
Shanti Tea isn’t a generic wellness play. It’s a women’s health tea brand built around hormonal wellbeing — PCOS support, sleep, energy, fertility — with a founder’s story at the centre of it. The brand had real substance. The design reflected that. But a site that stutters, repeats itself, and refuses to animate properly undermines all of it before a customer even gets to the first line of copy.
The launch couldn’t be pushed.
Modalys came in, diagnosed the issues, and got to work. The performance problems were tackled head-on, images optimised, animations untangled, and load times brought down to where they needed to be. Everything that was supposed to move, moved. Everything that was supposed to load, loaded.
The content side was handed over too. Product descriptions, blog posts, every word across the site. The writing needed to match the brand, warm, informed, and genuinely speaking to the women it was made for. Not generic wellness copy. Something that actually sounded like Shanti knew what it was talking about.
Shanti Tea launched. On schedule, fully functional, with a site that finally reflected the brand behind it.
The product pages connect with the right audience. The blogs build credibility and draw in organic traffic. And the site moves the way it was always intended to.
Modalys doesn't only build from the ground up. Sometimes the job is inheriting someone else's mess and making sure the thing that should have worked, does.
